Member companies are made available to the investment community at the Bloomberg Terminal. It includes an index covering more than 418 publicly traded institutions and organizations in developing and developed markets. Member firms are focused on women's empowerment. It is determined whether or not a company is devoted to gender equality. It's almost as if investors' commitment to gender equality, as well as their commitment to ESG (environmental, social, and governance), is being assessed.
There are 418 different companies in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index in 2022. many companies in 11 different sectors and traded in 45 different countries are included in this index. The market capitalization of the companies listed in the index has reached USD 16,000,000,000. It has become an index that can be used as a reference both as a result of its financial value and due to international business associations. However, this index cannot be used as a financial comparison measure.
