WHAT IS Happy Place To Work (HPW)?



Happy Place To Work is an organization that researches the happiest workplaces in the world. It can determine internal satisfaction by determining specific criteria. At the same time, it creates new areas on both global and national scales talent management and productivity with its in-house analyzes.


Companies that meet the HPW criteria are certified and announced by the institution. By increasing the satisfaction with the institutions, not only talent management or efficiency is provided, but a document showing that the institution is sensitive is revealed. With the changing understanding of work worldwide after the pandemic, the employee productivity of many institutions has begun to decline. Employees who are asked to give up on the concept of remote working resign and move to the hybrid model, which is a new generation working method, or to institutions that have the opportunity to work remotely.


Research shows that people between the ages of 23 and 28 work in an organization for a maximum of five to six months. Companies that meet the criteria set by Happy Place To Work are more vulnerable to this risk. Because they have created a productive work environment and corporate culture, the global wave of resignations will become less risky for companies that have established their corporate culture.


The Importance of Employee Satisfaction is increasing day by day after the pandemic. Is Satisfaction Provided with Happy Place To Work?


Happy Place To Work does not only improve the efficiency and talent management of organizations. It also identifies the needs of society. 75% of human life is spent working. The people they have gained and learned from working life continue their lives. By creating a peaceful and meaningful working environment, the quality of life of people is actually increased. The formation of an institution's brand and corporate reputation is reinforced by its attitude towards employees and the care it has shown to solve social problems.


In institutions with long-term employees, only the corporate culture can be mentioned. That's why HPW has significant meaning and importance for solid corporate culture. It is seen that there is a strong institutional solidarity and performance control and management in institutions with high satisfaction.


Happy workplaces are also investigated, and sociological determinations are made simultaneously. The happiness rates of societies are measured. It is observed that the welfare level is much higher, and the crime rate is lower in communities with happy workplaces. In this sense, it is an essential research about sociology and company strategies.


People's understanding of work has expanded and changed daily after the pandemic. While researching the happiest workplaces in Turkey, the post-pandemic criteria for happiness at work were revealed. Employees have started to prefer environments where they will be satisfied. One of the first reasons employees feel dissatisfied with the institution is the lack of workplace culture or the fact that it is found incorrectly. Consumers also prefer companies that will make them happy. After the pandemic, preferences have favored brands that bring comfort and happiness in every sense.


If companies want to show excellent performance in the long term, they must increase employee happiness. Internal happiness is considered one of the most critical indicators of productivity. A solid corporate culture is required to increase employee satisfaction, efficiency, and loyalty. In companies with a well-established corporate culture, the rate of resignation decreases, and talent management have done better.


Two hundred fourteen companies participated in Turkey's Happiest Workplaces Survey, which was held this year. The ranking includes 81 companies that scored 70 or higher in the Wellbeing – Employee Experience survey. An impartial science committee reviewed the people management procedures of prospective companies and, following these assessments, given the top 50 organizations the opportunity to join the Happy Workplace List. As a result, customer satisfaction requires a culture change from scratch. On the other hand, the 'Happy Workplaces' research shows that a happy workplace is essential for good long-term performance and sustainability.
