At a time when efforts for gender equality are increasing in today's business world, the concept of "Women in Business Certificate" is emerging. This certificate refers to a program that evaluates and certifies institutions that offer equal rights and opportunities to women in business life, according to specific standards. This program, implemented in Türkiye in 2013 in cooperation with the Sustainability Academy and Intertek, aims to certify institutions that support gender equality by evaluating them according to specific criteria.
Institutions that qualify for the certificate must have developed policies and practices within the framework of six basic principles. These principles are Equality in Recruitment and Promotions, Wage Equality, Work-Life Balance, Protection from Mobbing and Discrimination, Women's Empowerment, and Increasing Women's Participation in the Labor Market.
The Women in Business Certificate enables organizations to prove their commitment to gender equality. Institutions that hold the certificate prove that they create a fair and inclusive work environment for female employees. This strengthens institutions' corporate reputation, increasing brand value and employee loyalty.
Institutions with this certificate in Türkiye become pioneers of social transformation by contributing to gender equality in business life.
