The Sustainable Development Goals, in other words, the Global Goals, are a universal action plan that includes the goals that the United Nations member states want to achieve by the end of 2030. Seventeen principles have been identified that clearly define the desired world for all nations and communities.
Goal 16 is set to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and create compelling, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels. It was desired to ensure social development by creating good governance. As expected, it makes an effective administration based on peace, stability, human rights, and the rule of law. It is essential to ensure sustainability. To ensure peace, security and prosperity continuously, strict and correct practices should be determined within specific policies of institutions.
The endless spiral of conflict and violence is the biggest obstacle to the economic development of countries. In order to ensure value-added actions, an environment of peace and trust should be established. Social welfare is essential for increasing investments, preventing brain drain, or ensuring sustainability effectively. Research shows that the crime rate will increase in countries where the rule of law does not exist.
The Sustainable Development Goals unite governments and societies to find durable solutions to reduce violence significantly. It is crucial that they still need to complete their institutionalization to prevent illegal acts.
